Publication in Nature Communications

We are thrilled to share our latest polyketide synthase engineering work by Edward Kalkreuter and our collaborators at the University of Michigan in Nature Communications. This work sets the stage to further diversify the structures of macrolides for drug development and discovery.

The Williams Lab uses a combination of enzyme engineering, metabolic engineering, microbiology, synthetic biology, and organic chemistry, to access various non-natural small molecules and natural products for drug discovery and chemical biology.
